Working group within the platform for measurement, automation and robotics technology promotes young technical and scientific talent.
GMAR – the Austrian Platform for Measurement, Automation and Robotics – as a platform for networking science, research, industry and teaching has now combined its activities into seven working groups. One of these working groups, the Working Group for Young Scientists, is headed by Wilfried Kubinger from the Department of Electronic Engineering.
This working group carries out activities to promote young technical and scientific talent, usually within the framework of GMAR events and corresponding training courses. Summer schools and specialist conferences for junior staff are also organized.
The GMAR has now produced a new position paper outlining the medium-term goals of the GMAR, as reflected in the individual working groups. This paper serves as a guideline for the development and promotion of automation and robotics in Austria, both in education, research and practical application. A preliminary version is already available.
