Dr. Barbara Czak-Pobeheim is the new Managing Director of UAS Technikum Wien. She succeeds Johannes Höhrhan, who has held this role on an interim basis in addition to his traditional position as Managing Director of the Federation of Austrian Industries in Vienna and will remain a member of the Executive Board of UAS Technikum Wien in the future.

Dr. Kari Kapsch, President of UAS Technikum Wien, is pleased about the competent reinforcement of the management team: “Dr. Barbara Czak-Pobeheim has many years of experience in management functions in the education and training sector as well as extensive knowledge in the areas of finance and human resources. Together with Managing Director Florian Eckkrammer, she will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of UAS Technikum Wien, with particular responsibility for Finance/Procurement/Controlling, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Legal & Compliance and Facility Management and, together with Mr. Eckkrammer, will represent the university in public bodies and in the UAS sector. I would like to thank Johannes Höhrhan for his excellent work, wish the new management team and the entire university of applied sciences every success and look forward to working with him in the future.”

AI will also be an important topic, the potential of which I would like to leverage in my areas of responsibility as part of the ongoing digitalization process. In addition, it is important to me to create a creative, diverse and cooperative working environment in line with our UAS vision “Change our Tomorrow” and, last but not least, to promote international networking and mobility at our university.”

Dr. Barbara Czak-Pobeheim is a proven expert in the fields of finance, controlling and human resources. In her professional career, she has held several management positions in the Volksbank sector, including CEO of Volksbank Akademie. 14 years of part-time experience as a lecturer

Lectureships in 7 university of applied sciences degree programs and at 2 universities are also the basis for her ability as commercial managing director to align the departments assigned to her precisely to the needs of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien.
