10 October, 2023
Sarah Langer presented research project BERTL at a conference in Portugal.
The FHTW research project BERTL (Barrierfree Design for Teaching and Learning) aims to raise awareness of barriers in education and lead to designing courses and the teaching environment more inclusively and beyond minimum legal requirements. The City of Vienna (MA23) is funding BERTL.
The project was shown at the beginning of September in Aveiro (Portugal) at the ECTEL conference (Eighteenth European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning) with a focus on “Responsive and Sustainable Educational Futures”.
Sarah Langer (Lecturer / Researcher Competence Area Medical Engineering & Integrated Healthcare) presented the topic “Barrier-free dissemination of medical knowledge – Challenges and solutions for individuals with visual impairments” in the form of a poster presentation.
Another research project of UAS Technikum Wien was presented at the conference by Andrea Balz (Competence Area Manager Medical Engineering & Integrated Healthcare): MedTech-mR (Medical Technology – Mixed Reality in Education Research).
