Columbia, Harvard, Pennsylvania – Thanks to Marshall Plan Scholarships, Five Students Are Drawn to the US

Within the framework of the Marshall Plan Scholarship, five of UAS Technikum Wien’s students have the chance to study in the USA.

The fortunate scholarship recipients from UAS Technikum Wien are as follows:

  • Pouria BacherInnovation and Technology Management, is spending the next months at Columbia University working on his thesis on the topic of “Green Sub-Transportation.”
  • Klara BaderTissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicineis spending the few months at Harvard Medical School working on her dissertation on “Application of a novel leukapheresis-based microfluidic CTC isolation technology to study neuroendocrine transdifferentiation in prostate cancer.”
  • Mark-Josef ElevadoTissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, is spending the next months at Harvard Medical School working on his thesis on “Calcium (Ca2+) and ATP jointly regulate immune function”.
  • Tobias SteinschadenTissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, is spending the next months at the University of Pennsylvania working on his thesis on “Investigation of the Role of Glial TNF Signaling in Neural Regeneration in Drosophila and Human Neuromuscular Assembloids.”
  • Paula StemmleHealthcare and Rehabilitation Technology, is spending the next months at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab working on her thesis on “Comparison of the performance of passive ankle, adaptive positioning and powered ankle prostheses.”
