Design Thinking Workshop and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts at the UAS Technikum Wien 

Program Director Dr. Judith Klamert-Schmid welcomed the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts to the UAS Technikum Wien in the middle of September 2019. Seventeen students from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and 24 students from the BA Program for International Business and Engineering took part in a Design Thinking Workshop under the supervision of Isabelle Hauser and Norbert Meier from Lucerne, both specialists in industrial design.

The participants formed international teams and tackled the practical course material with great enthusiasm. Everyone involved particularly enjoyed the time dedicated to the creation of prototypes. The event, however, did not only focus on design thinking but also helped facilitate networking between students and lecturers from both universities. At the end of the workshop, Horst Orsolits, Bernhard Kauzinger, Wilfried Wöber and Ali Aburaia took the participants on a guided tour of the laboratories and the Digital Factory.
