Head of International Office Agnes Kriz nominated by Ministry as EHEA-expert

As a member of the team of national experts for the European Higher Education Area, Agnes Kriz is also a member of the national Bologna Follow-Up Group.
Agnes Kriz, Head of the International Office of the UAS Technikum Wien, has been nominated by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research for the team of national experts of the European Higher Education Area in the frame of the project 3-IN-AT-PLUS for the period 2022-2024.
The tasks of the team, which consists of nine higher education experts, include advisory visits to higher education institutions, participation in the design and implementation of project events as well as seminars, workshops and peer-learning activities in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
As an EHEA expert, Agnes Kriz also automatically belongs to the national Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG). This group is responsible for the implementation of the EHEA goals in Austria with the involvement of the stakeholders concerned. In this context, BFUG’s tasks also include ensuring the flow of information between the European and national levels, elaborating Austria’s positions on current EHEA issues and proposing measures and recommendations for their implementation.
“I am very pleased to be nominated as an EHEA expert and to have the opportunity to help shape the implementation of European higher education policy in Austria through my participation in an important committee such as BFUG,” says Kriz. An English and American studies graduate with a master’s degree in German philology, Kriz has managed the UAS Technikum Wien’s International Office since 2018. As an EHEA expert and in the Bologna Follow-Up Group she will hereafter contribute, among other things, her many years of experience in the field of internationalization and her expertise from the UAS sector.
