Meeting in Colorado: Distributed Wind

At the end of October, a meeting of the International Energy Agency took place in Colorado (USA) with the participation of UAS Technikum Wien.

Daniel Österreicher and Alexander Hirschl-Schmol (both Lecturer / Researcher in the Renewable Energy Technologies competence field at UAS Technikum Wien) were in Boulder, Colorado, on the campus of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) from October 25 to 28, where they took part in the IEA (International Energy Agency) Task 41 Meeting on the topic of “distributed wind”.

The results of the national research project SmallWind4Cities were discussed in a workshop and joint dissemination work was agreed.

Cooperation in the area of social aspects and icing of wind power

Possible collaborations in the area of social aspects of wind power and icing of wind power were also agreed and a possible student exchange was discussed.

The IEA Wind TCP (International Energy Agency – Wind – Technology Collaboration Programme) is an international cooperation of 24 countries and supporting members who exchange information and research activities to promote the use of wind energy.
