New Double Degree between the Lapland University of Applied Sciences and the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien

After years of fruitful cooperation, student and lecturer exchange, and expansion of the academic fields of cooperation, a Double Degree agreement between Lapland University of Applied Sciences and the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien marks the next step in the strategic partnership between the two Higher Education Institutions.

In the frame of the International Week at the UAS Technikum Wien in January 2020, the two rectors of the institutions, Ritta Rissanen (Lapland UAS) and Fritz Schmöllebeck (UAS Technikum Wien), as well as academic staff affiliated with the project gathered to sign the agreement and to celebrate its upcoming start.

The newly established Double Degree not only offers students of both institutions the possibility to obtain two degrees at the end of their studies, it also enhances their language competencies, broadens their academic expertise, and increases their international qualification.

The Double Degree Agreement between the Bachelor’s study programmes Urban Renewable Energy Technologies (UAS Technikum Wien) and Mechanical Engineering (Lapland UAS) will come into effect with the Winter Term 2020/2021.
