More than 220 visitors attended the Start me up Monday on Monday, February 20, in the ceremony hall of the FH Technikum Wien, when, among other things, the question was explored: ChatGPT and Co. – friend or foe?

The trend topics ChatGPT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) attract the masses. More than 220 visitors attended the Start me up Monday on Monday, February 20, in the ceremony hall of the FH Technikum Wien, when the following questions were discussed: ChatGPT and Co. – friend or foe? Is AI now suitable for the masses or will it soon be over as hype? How are educational institutions and research institutes reacting to the development?

In addition to Bernhard Knapp (Master’s program director Artifical Intelligence Engineering) and Alexander Mense (faculty director Computer Science and Applied Mathematics), experts from Microsoft, danube.ai, AIT and AWS were also present.

“Even though ChatGPT sometimes seems like it is a human being, it does not have a character. I therefore find some newspaper reports speculating about whether the software behaves in a discriminatory manner or is even a good or bad “human being” extremely curious,” Bernhard Knapp marvels during his presentation.

At the Technikum Wien Academy, there is an extensive range of courses on AI & Data Science at all levels, for example two seminars and a master’s course:
