The turbine installed in the SmallWind4Cities project was presented at the “Bio.Energie.Messe” in Lower Austria.
The energy turnaround is not only based on large-scale plants. While photovoltaics on smaller areas and in the private sector are very much in demand, interest in the topic of small wind power is also growing. The FFG-funded research project SmallWind4Cities, which has been running since 2021, deals with the integration of small wind turbines in built-up areas.
At the BIOEM “Bio.Energie.Messe” 2023 in Großschönau, Lower Austria, those responsible for the project presented the turbine installed in the project from May 30 to June 3 and at the same time were able to ask a wide range of interested people about the topic of small wind power.
