07 September, 2021
The sports tech start-up zone14.net is part of the Entrepreneurship Initiative of the UAS Technikum Wien and has now been accepted into the funding program of the renowned INiTS HighTech Incubator in Vienna.
The young company zone14.net specializes in video analysis of soccer training using intelligent algorithms. The Sportstech start-up is part of UAS Technikum Wien’s Entrepreneurship Initiative, through which the university supports corporate partners in talent acquisition and growth.
After a long proving and pitch phase, zone14.net has now made it into the one-year scale-up program of the renowned INiTS HighTech Incubator in Vienna. This program supports selected companies by means of financing and networking, thus helping them to implement their business model.
In the run-up, the innovation and scale-up team of the FHTW supported zone14.net with coaching and contacts. Starting in September, the company will move into its office at the FH location in Vienna’s 20th district. In terms of personnel, the start-up has already been associated with the UAS for some time – two of the founders are graduates. Simon Schmiderer completed the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Sports Equipment Technology (today: Human Factors and Sports Engineering and Sports Technology, respectively) at the Technikum; Tobias Gahleitner, in turn, is a graduate of the bachelor’s degree program in Smart Homes and Assistive Technologies and now also works as a lecturer at the UAS.
With the support of the FH Technikum Wien and the INiTS incubator, zone14.net wants to make AI analysis of soccer training accessible to an even broader target group in the future.
