Students of HTL Hollabrunn visited UAS Technikum Wien
19 July, 2023
At the end of June, students of the 2nd grade of the HTL Hollabrunn majoring in IT were warmly welcomed at UAS Technikum Wien.
Accompanied by their teacher Martin Höfermeyer, who is also an external lecturer at UAS Technikum Wien in the Master AI Engineering program, the budding IT professionals explored the premises of the university of applied sciences and got a comprehensive overview of the opportunities offered here.
The excursion started with a tour of the modern UAS building, where the Hollabrunn students were able to get a first-hand look at the everyday life of a university of applied sciences. They were particularly impressed by the Technology and Learning Center (TLC), which offers a wide range of support services for learning and teaching at the UAS Technikum Wien. From the Welcome Days for first-year students to learning counseling, the “Short Tracks” learning support and a writing workshop to psychosocial counseling, there are many helpful services for students here.
Information on Bachelor’s degree programs and the admission process
Afterwards, the curious group was treated to an informative presentation about the UAS Technikum, the various bachelor’s degree programs in IT and the admission procedure. The students of HTL Hollabrunn received valuable tips and advice for their future choice of studies and career in the IT industry. As a small memento of this special day, they received goodie bags containing useful information and small surprises.
UAS Technikum Wien works closely with other educational institutions to help young people achieve their professional goals. In tomorrow’s digital world, well-trained IT experts are more in demand than ever, and we want to do our part to ensure that these talents receive the best possible support.
