Teaching and Learning Center: International E-Learning Award for mathematics and physics platform 

E-learning is not only a top priority at the UAS Technikum Wien, the Teaching and Learning Center’s applications and projects also regularly win international awards. Most recently, the blended learning platform for mathematics and physics won the prize in the ‘Blended Learning’ category at the ‘International E-Learning Awards’. The winners of the award were announced at the International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL) in Thailand at the end of September.

“The online platform has turned out to be an excellent resource for acquiring skills through self-study and at face-to-face events and is used intensively by both UAS Technikum Wien students and external users. The platform is not intended as a substitute for attendance but has been created as part of a blended learning approach to independent learning,” said Prof. Dr Gerd Ch. Krizek, Deputy Director of the Teaching and Learning Center.

It’s not the first accolade that the blended learning platform has received. The course has already been recognized this year with an ‘eLearning Award’ from eLearning Journal.
