“Trend” Ranking: Technikum Strongly Represented in Austrian Start-up Scene

7 of the “100 best startups 2025” selected by the business magazine were founded by UAS Technikum Wien graduates, almost half of which employ alumni.
Every year, Austrian business magazine “trend” awards the “100 best startups” in Austria. A Linkedin search based on the list for 2025 shows that UAS Technikum Wien continues to play an important role in the Austrian startup scene:
- 7 top startups were (co-)founded by graduates* of UAS Technikum Wien: Storebox, Prewave, Fiskaly, Upnano, Hello Inside, Toolsense and Heartbeat.Bio
- Almost half of the listed start-ups employ graduates of UAS Technikum Wien.
- In total, 92 Technikum graduates work in the top 100 startups – in addition to the founders listed, at least 2 others work at top management level.
