UAS Technikum at conference for photovoltaic research in Lisbon

28 September, 2023

Momir Tabakovic and Taras Sheremet presented their findings in the field of photovoltaic research at the prestigious EU PVSEC.

The world’s largest conference for photovoltaic research, EU PVSEC, recently offered a unique platform for the presentation of the latest technologies and innovations in the field of solar power generation for the 40th time in Lisbon. Taras Sheremet (Master graduate Renewable Energy) and Momir Tabakovic (Competence Field Leader Renewable Energy Technologies und Climate-fit Buildings and Districts) got the opportunity to present their findings in the field of photovoltaic research.

Presentation title of Taras Sheremet’s presentation:
“Validation of Three Module Temperature Models (Faiman, Sandia and Ross) using Measurement Data from Multiple Outdoor Research Facilities”.

Presentation title of Momir Tabakovic’s presentation:
“Comparison of BIPV Innovation System Structures in Multiple Countries.”

EU PVSEC (European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition) is the largest international conference on photovoltaic research, technology and applications and also a photovoltaic industry exhibition. Well-known representatives of the PV industry presented technologies, innovations and new concepts in the PV sector.

Accelerate penetration of the global renewable energy market with BIPV products

Momir Tabakovic is also the national coordinator of IEA PVPS Task 15, which aims to create a framework to accelerate the penetration of BIPV (building integrated photovoltaic system) products in the global renewable energy market, so that there is a level playing field for BIPV products, BAPV products and conventional building envelope components. And this will be done by taking into account mandatory aspects, aesthetic issues, reliability and financial aspects.

The trip of Taras Sheremet and Momir Tabakovic was supported by the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and International Office, as well as through the IEA PVPS Task 15 project.
