The Best Lecturer category recognizes ambitious lecturers who, through their extraordinary commitment, contribute to providing their students with an excellent technical education at FHTW. Their professional expertise, their passion for teaching and their genuine interest in the success of their students mean that the courses they teach are experienced by students as particularly exciting and meaningful. The criteria that the judges will use to assess submissions in this category are as follows:

The lecturer uses varied teaching/learning methods and provides comprehensible learning materials that are in line with academic discourse.
The teacher encourages in-depth and, if necessary, critical examination of the content and promotes independent learning on the part of the students.
The teacher strives to create a learning-friendly atmosphere, responds to the needs of the student group and endeavors to provide regular feedback.
The teacher acts as a role model by arousing curiosity for the respective content and encouraging or inspiring closer examination.
