What practical arrangements have you made before the exchange?

The professor will then contact the international office of the host university, who will send you a DS-2019 form via post from the US after you have paid the necessary admission fees. You will also need to pay for your SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) fee. Once you have received your DS-2019 form, you can then apply for your visa online.
