The Vienna Business Agency and the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien will jointly set up a FIWARE iHub. In this hub the main focus is on FIWARE technology. Related topics (e.g. Gaia X) are to be addressed as well. This hub will provide technical (training, coaching, prototype implementation, certification) as well as non-technical (awareness, networking, matchmaking, business model workshops and training) offerings for the programme-regions in Austria (Vienna, parts of Lower Austria and Upper Austria) and in the Czech Republic (Jihomoravský kraj, Jihočeský kraj, Kraj Vysočina).

Our partners from Brno will jointly set up a hub for open source and AI, where JIC will focus primarily on SMEs and will be responsible mainly for non-technical services, such as partnering, matchmaking, community coordination, and organization of networking, awareness-raising and experience sharing events, as well as facilitating technology and knowledge transfer. Within this hub, Otevřená města will focus mainly on open source in public administration and R&D facilities. The ultimate goal is to open up a physical Open Source Project Office (OSPO).
